Dubstep

When i first heard dubstep i thought it was the filthiest druggy music ever, now i like some of it, im not a massive fiend but this is pretty cool:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=35cKvLz0ipw&feature=related

Also, i generally hate australian and kiwi hip-hop because they usually have nothing to talk about other than how much beer they drink, how their upbringing was hard because they had to actually work like everyone else and they put on the filthiest accent ever just to clarify where they come from.

BUT! i heard this song by Kolab in a video and thought it was a legit black american hip hop group but they are from Auckland, it's got a pretty good backing track too.
I mean, look at how white they are...pretty good effort considering.
unfortunatly i cant find a link to the track, but i know its on itunes store so if you want to check it out its called "Party to Rock" which sounds like a Miley Cyress song...but its not...
one other thing, a friend showed me this the other day, sooo funny, it makes me laugh everytime i watch it, you: may have already seen it but if you havent then you are in for some LOLS:

Change is good...

Im getting sick of posting these daily reports from my trip, its far too structured so this blog is going to become far more impulsive and spontaneous, no doubt it will still highly cover my travels however i will post an update when i have had a sick day and want to share it with everyone rather than post the boring stuff just for the sake of it.

continuing along that theme there will be a lot more random, shorter posts most likely containing links to youtube videos or album art of music i really like and want to share because quite often i find something and go wow everyone should love this. if you happen to find a new favourite band, track or album then i will be content. i realise that some things may cause certain people to cringe....let them haters hate.

here is an example:

This track was in the poor boyz productions ski movie Revolver and was set to a section of one of my favourite pro skiers- Dane Tudor, skiing one of the places i have to ski before i die- Niseko, Japan. That only made this song even more interesting for me, one of the main reasons is the intelligence and beauty behind it that can easily be overlooked and/or under-appreciated to the un-trained mind and ears. the following lyrics from it may help you to uncover that.
"a society, quote, free to borrow and build upon the past, is culturally richer than a controlled one."

if you think about that and keep it in mind while listening to the track you start to hear that the guitar riff is from another song, so is the bass line so is almost every component other than the drums , and the best part, there are vocals extracted from another source which are used almost as an instrument without altering them in any way other than cutting and pasting sections of them. The oppening lyrics also sum that up.

it sums up one of the main reasons i like hip-hop, the fact that you are free and uncontrolled in how you produce things and you take the good things from something and make them stronger by combining them with other good things. if you get my point :P

anyway i think i have explained myself there, so now the name of this amazing track, it is called once upon a past and is by an amazing artist called wax tailor, he has also made another track using similair techniques which is called Que Sera and i really like that too.

here is the track:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_21-ip0FjNE

and here is the ski section i first heard it in, its also amazing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6r_bWqD3s5M

I hope you enjoy it and can see where im coming from :D

Thredbo Day 3

Thredbo Day 3:
(Tuesday the 20th)

Woke up at about 7 o'clock and the weather outside was really nice, only about 3cms of fresh snow but at least it was clear and not windy, went and had breakfast at the restaraunt and then got ready to head out.
View from our hotel room
the mountain looking a lot softer and fresher than it actually was.
Daws and I went to the top of kozi chair and skied all the way down to friday flat on the other side of the mountain and caught the gunbarrel chairlift up, Antons T-bar near the peak was open for the first time this season so we thought we better go check it out, i was hoping there would be fresh snow and some interesting terrain but it was ridiculously icy and very boring so we skied down and then met Bennet back at the supertrail area under kozi lift. we did some super fast racing lines down world cup a couple of times which was fun
Daws chillin...get it...because he's sitting in the snow...haha
Then we went over to friday flat and met the others, had some food and then caught the gunbarrel chairlift back up to the cruiser area, this was the first time Nada Courtney and Alex Vickery had snowboarded anywhere other than the beginner area and they were doing really well.
Ollie Daws and Bennet on the cruiser chairlift
This is a run called boundary riders under the cruiser chairlift, looks like it would be ridiculously fun but as you can see there is almost no snow and skiing it would of just been stupid.
I kept doing park laps while the others kept skiing and boarding down the cruiser area, I managed to land railslides to normal and fakie, butter on a box, a few more 180s and nearly a 360 but kept landing on my ass cheek. then the others headed in and i stopped off at the "intermediate" park to check out the big air comp that was on, it was pretty cool and the competitors were doing some sick stuff on the first two jumps, i skied down the rest of the park which was set up to an extremely high level, double kink rails, a rail jam into a bonk bin, huge hitching post and a massive C-rail, they were all set pretty high above the ground with big gaps which made it pretty scary, I think the guys who built it made it suit them rather than everyone else seeing as there wasnt enough snow to open an advanced park up top...i thought that was pretty poor form as you went from flat dancfloor boxes on the ground and 5 foot jumps in the beginner park to 40 foot jumps and crazy rails in the intermediate park...nothing inbetween.
the big air comp showing the two 40 foot jumps.
fantastic photography of someone hitting the second jump
That night everyone got dinner then got beer, got drunk and headed to the Heller Keller night club, was good times.
intoxicated youth
Thug life.

Day 2 of Thredbo.

Monday 19th

Woke up to about 3cm's of fresh snow down in the village (WOO!!!) and it was still snowing a bit which was cool.
view from our hotel room
We went and had the best buffet breakfast ever at the hotels restaraunt then headed back to our rooms and geared up.
view of the courtyard/pool from the hotels restaraunt.
Daws Ollie and I went out and the others went to their lessons. we caught the Kosciuszko chair to the top then skied supertrail/ world cup which was pretty fun
Me and Daws gearing up for first runs.
half way up Kozi chair.
Daws had his stoke face on.
getting the bag jump ready.
top of Kozi.
note the lack of snow...
Ollies boots were too small so he started being mr grumpy pants and headed in to see if he could get them changed, they said they were the right size but to get some shitty generic orthotics for 40 bucks to shift his weight around or something...they didnt work and he was grumpy once again
Ollie Neggin.
Meanwhile Daws and I kept hitting the kozi chair and skiing the runs around it while nearly killing all of the small children in the area. Then we headed to the cruiser area on the other side of the mountain and checked out the begginers park, took me a few goes and i destroyed my thumb in the process but i managed to slide a box, and land a few 180's on the shittest jump you have ever seen. We saw the most gangsta skiers in Australia with jackets below their knees, they killed it doing backflips, flatspins and switch 3's on the jump i thought was too shit to do anything on... :(. then we went in met everyone and had lunch, Courtney Vickery and Nada were fully stoked after their lessons which was sick and we all went over to friday flat to cruise around for a bit where we met Alex Bennet whos family arrived that afternoon and we bailed and skied the kozi chair again.
Nada and Courtney on the worlds slowest chairlift at Friday Flat
Friday Flat.
Then we went into the hotel and realised there was $3 shots of schnapps for Schnappy hour in the bar and seeing as we had a complimentary $200 bar tab for booking early we decided to chill out there and try every type of schnapps they had...don't ever try chilli, its just painful. It was snowing pretty big flakes when we left the bar and headed to a pub for dinner but unfortunatly it didnt last long...no powder for us. Then went home and crashed, pretty fun day
Schnappy Hour, the gold one is Butterscotch, sooooo good
In this photo i am being really tough and the others are being weak.

Another update...

OK, said I was gonna write a diary entry of my trip and post it when i get back, part of that is true, i did write a diary and for every single day, only thing is i got back and got lazy, but now, many months later i am bored and need ways to kill time so i am going to finally post it...get excited...
but first... a quick update for those who are interested
its now early November and I recently quit my job at Eziway because i got a new job working for a company called Heider and Sheyers Exclusive Caterers. Hal hooked me up with it and it is a very good job, he gets $50 from the boss (not kidding) and a mention in this post for his efforts. I still work at Kathmandu and im still deffered...i am also getting ready and excited for Canada. i leave here on the 3rd of January, arrive in vancouver the same day and i will be staying at samesun backpackers smack bang in downtown van which is pretty dope, a day later my friend Ollie Pearson will arrive and we will meet up with another friend, jake ross in vancouver, go see an ice hockey match, the sights and probably some shenanigans/ good times depending on how jet-lagged we are. Then late on the 6th ollie and i will meet up with the people running the ski instructor course and they will take us to Whistler to do a 4 week ski instructor course, after that I will be staying with a Friend Oli Micek at his place in Whistler for a further 3 weeks before i go home in time to start uni again...uugghh. but before uni it will be nothing but good times...unless i blow my knee on the first day in which case i might jump off a tall building.
anyway here is day 1 of my Trip to thredbo and Melbourne in July:

Saturday and Sunday The 17th and 18th of July 2010:

After going out for dinner with my family, aunty uncle and cousin at Joy Kitchen in freo (best chinese in the world). We headed to the airport. there i met Ollie Keys, Alex Daws, Nada Baradja, Courtney Kidd and Alex Vickery. we said goodbye to our families, checked in then went and chilled out until our flight was called.
Daws and Ollie
Ollie, Vickery and Nada

We then got on the plane...
Perth burbs at night.
and we were deciding wether or not we should see how many drinks it takes to get drunk on a plane.
but drinks were very expensive so instead we decided on all having celebratory G&T's.

G&T O'clock

About 10 minutes after finishing our drinks we hit turbulance...combined with a stomach full of chinese food and gin and tonic I didnt feel fantastic, but it didnt last too long which was sweet.
After getting 5 minutes of sleep on that flight we arrived in Brisbane half an hour early, grabbed some brekky and watched the sun rise.

Early morning Brisbane airport.

then we hopped on our flight to Canberra where me and Vickery got to enjoy the extra 20cm's of legroom in the emergency exits. with no more sleep had we arrived on time in Canberra, got our bags and walked outside into the -2 degree weather ( which is wayy better than the 36 degree bullshit we are having right now). got onto the bus and headed to Thredbo!

-2 is good!

because there had not been much snow this season we climbed the mountain with very little snow to be seen, we then rounded a corner into the village which also had very little snow, that was pretty depressing, i was looking forward to having a snowball fight when we got off the bus, instead i threw a chunk of ice at ollie that i had found, it hurt him so the iceball fight didnt go any further. we checked into our rooms at the Thredbo Alpine Hotel, then went and got ski passes, the others went and got their rental gear while i weant shopping for ski boots! got a pretty sick pair of salomon mission RS12's for a terrible price of $750. then we went for a quick slide at the beginner slope Friday flat. I hadnt been skiing in 3 years so it was a good feeling and i got to test out my new skis which was frikkin sweet! also it was lots of fun watching people who had never seen snow try and snowboard :P. then me ollie and daws found the kids terrain park about 50 meters away and tried a few small jumps which was also very fun.
Headed back to the hotel, got a pizza which had cheeze and pepperoni for $18...fuckin rip and fell asleep at about 6pm.
that was day 1..more to come soon.

This blog still exists?

I think blog posts will now become more frequent as due to my friend Karmen Lee i realised i was taking photos in an extremely large format and thats why they took forever to upload (rookie error). Without writing too much of an essay here is another update with what im doing:

Got a job at Kathmandu- doesnt pay heaps but it has sweet benefits, and the people are really cool so I really like working there.
Still work at Eziway... :(

Going to Thredbo for a week next Saturday (:D) and then Melbourne for 4 days to catch up with family... that means i wont have to work for 2 weeks, thank god.

then at the end of the year i will hopefulyl get to ski niseko in japan for a week with my family which would be sooo sweet.
Then from there i am flying to Vancouver to do a 4 week ski instructor course with my friend Ollie Pearson, i am reaalllyyy looking forward to that. might even be able to stay on a little longer after the course is over.
then back to uni and the plan is to be an instructor every summer holidays.

SO: what else is new?

I did some more shopping online and bought some really cool ski poles which actually have removable wrist straps so that u can clip them in and out really easily when u get on the lift, a sweet helmet with built in speakers, some ski socks and insulated thermal leggings, a line skis ski bag, a pair or Orage ski pants and an Orage ski jacket.

The main stuff I've bought online showing skis, poles, bag, helmet, jacket and pants.

matching jacket and pants made by Orage: one of the best freestyle skiing companies.

ski poles with wrist straps attatched...

and less than a second later they are removed!-handy for getting on the lifts where they make u take the straps off...not me!

Ive also bought a few other bits and pieces in Perth such as thermals, gloves, a camel pack, beanies etc so now im all set to go!
I leave next saturday on at 11 flying to brisbane (which is annoying) then canberra and then we head up to the snow for a week. The snow has been pretty bad and they are actually predicting a fair bit or rain early next week which will deffinatly damage the already limited cover, they are predicting a bit of snow (maybe a lot) straight after so at least that will give the impression that there is some snow, but at the end of the day i dont mind if their arent many runs open, firstly because they have some really good terrain parks built and a bag jump- a 20mx20mx6m high air bag with a jump in front of it that u can do flips and stuff into, that will be fun! and i get to ski powder at the end of the year so i shouldnt complain!
This is waiting for me at Thredbo, only without a pole jam on it
I am going to write a diary each day im on my holiday and when im away at the end of the year and post a blog with photos for each day ( thats the plan anyway, so keep a lookout)
My fat cat Trevour wearing my beanie
I turned my Ikea man into a model of Pro skier Simon Dumont using a cut out of his face and goggles i got in a magazine, my brother shook his head in disgrace when he saw it.
hell sick snow flake beanie i got for 6 bucks, i have been looking for a jumper with a pattern like this for a long time so i was stoked when i found this.

MUSIC
recently discovered/ started to like the following stuff:

a lot more GOOD hip hop like biggie smalls, a tribe called quest, de la soul, jurrasic 5, wu tang clan, etc etc.
Tame Impala- really good psychadelic rock reminiscient of the 60's
At The River by Groove Armada: soooo chilled and good cant believe i didnt get this earlier!

I know this isnt music but i found this sick freestyle skiing game online called jibbin, it is soo fun and fulfills the moments when i cant wait any longer to go skiing: its free so download it here: http://jibbingame.com/
a screen capture of Jibbin...pretty gangsta haha

see you soon!

My Own Skis

Today a UPS van arrived with two large parcels, I know what was inside them but I was still very excited.
Two boxes.
Unfortunatly the ski poles and the travel bag i wanted were out of stock and so I only got the skis and bindings, which is ok with me because they were the most crucial part to get.

The front of the skis.
top and bottom
bindings.
skis and bindings. :D
In other news i had applied for a job at Thredbo but didnt get an interview...bummer, but I am going there for a holiday in July anyway, so that will probably be way more exciting seeing as im going with friends YAY!
Also I have ordered more stuff (poles, bag helmet and free DVD) from another store and will get the boots at a later time to make sure they fit.
finally we are moving to a house in Cott to rent for 12 months, come and visit anytime, unless i dont know you, obviously if u do want to come over contact me and I will tell u where it is...peace.

Stoke Factor Increasing

I am once again becoming quite excited, I have been window shopping on the web for Skis and have found some siickkk equipment on 2 sites, tomorrow (tuesday the 30th) I am ordering twin tip skis, freestyle ski bindings, ski poles and a carry bag to hold them in, they are going to cost me $640US all up and shipping is $127US so that is $767US or $842AUS which is ridiculously good considering the skis alone would cost around $1200AUS if i bought them in Australia. That site gaurantees shipping in 1 week which is also very good coming from the US.

Then next week I will be ordering Freestyle ski boots that are $600US on sale for $200US because the season has just finished so they are considered "old stock" :D, as well as a sick helmet with built in headphones, my mate Tom Howard is getting one as well. and that package comes with a free DVD!

All up the lot is costing me about 1300 for 6 pretty big items and their shipping around the globe...not bad, this is the first pair of skis I will of bought so i am very excited.

I won't put any photos on this post but when they arrive there will be stokage and photos x100000000000.

If you are addicted to skiing or snowboarding like me and want to see what I'm getting, here is the list:

Skis: Armada El Rey 2010 Skis
Bindings: Marker 12.0 TC Freeski Bindings (black)
Boots: Rossignol SAS F2 freestyle boots (brown)
Poles: Scott Triton ski poles (silver)
Helmet: Pro-tec Freecarve AF Audio Snow Helmet 2009 (black)
Bag: Dakine Concours single ski bag -185cm.

Changes of Plan

Ok, basically at the end of the year I had a grand plan to deffer uni for a year, go up north and work in the mines to earn bulk cash, go skiing in Thredbo in July, buy a car then go travelling to Europe and Vancouver.

Since then a lot of realisations have come about and my plans have significantly changed...several times, so for those who care or are interested, read on.

The first thing that happened was that i decided NOT to get a job up north, I got an interview with a director of a recruitment agency who was a bit of a douche and basically said i need a shitload of basic qualifications to get any sort of job up north, the problem with that is that they cost a lot of money and take a long time to book and complete, as well as that he said the price of living was really high up there you had to work extremely hard and for up to 70 hours a week and its a very hot and lonley place. Therefore i thought stuff that i will get a job here in Perth.

I started looking around for jobs in perth that pay well but couldnt really find anything and time was ticking on, thankfully my boss at Eziway supermarket Swanbourne has given me 5, 6 hour shifts a week so i am clearing 440 a week now, stoked.

While i was realising i couldnt work up north i started investigating the possibility of going to Thredbo in July, i went to a travel agent in freo and they made up a ridiculously good package that for 2600 includes: return flights to canberra, return coach transfers from the airport to the slopes, 7 nights accomodation in a 4 star hotel with breakfast every morning, 6.5 days lift pass, 6.5 days ski hire and we get a bar tab of $100 between us, which will buy one drink each ahah.
That has been booked and the deposit has been payed, so me and 5 of my friends are going which i am sooo excited about.

Next i started working full time and then looking into the possibility of living and working at whistler in Vancouver for 2 or 3 months with my mate Julian after travelling around europe, he said europe was out of reach for him and i realised the same due to my current income. I found out that if you want to work there they only take you on if you are going to work a minimum of 6 months, i cant do that so i was devostated, then i talked to a few friends who had been volunteering over there and said if u volunteer one day a week u get to go in staff accomodation for 10 bucks a night and get a free season lift pass worth $1200 so another friend Tom was keen to come along to.
With that in mind it looked like the trip was going to cost us $6000 all up to be in canada for just over a month, now after talking to people a bit more i realised u dont get a free lift pass and if u want to volunteer u have to be in Vancouver in early November for an interview , which Tom can't do so that rules that out.

That was devostating because there isnt a cheap alternative in terms of accomodation in Whistler I thought i was not going to go to Canada after taking this whole year off and it would of been a waste. But when i thought about it and did some research i found accomodation for about 90 bucks a night in whistler, we could go for maybe 2 weeks and have the trip still cost the same all up.

As well as that my family are planning on going to Japan in early January for 2 weeks, one of those weeks is to see japan and the other is to ski some deeeeeppp pow.

So now i am saving up my moneys to pay off the trip i have booked, buy some skis and also for Vancouver (fingers crossed) so thats what ive been up to, I havent been too much of a bum...if you needed or wanted to know. hopefully pictures and thangs coming soon, peace

A Very Big Day Out

Last Sunday was the Big Day Out in Perth, I did not have a ticket but i still wanted to go even though they sold out, so i was pretty bummed on Saturday night knowing my brother would be going and i wasn't, however i heard the possibility that my friend Trent who owns a security company could possibly hook me up with a free ticket so i rang him and he said he might be able to and would let me know in an hour, so very foolishly i started listening to the bands that were playing the next day and got very amped, trent called back in an hour and said he couldnt get me a ticket so i was very sad/annoyed with myself for not getting a ticket in the first place.

The next day arrived and my brother got dropped off at a friends house for Pre's whilst i drove to work, i was very bummed. I work at eziway supermarket in swanbourne which is one of the last spots to buy alcohol consealing containers before you hit the showgrounds and big day out so naturally people dressed in minimal clothing along with my friends came in fully amped to go to BDO, this multiplied my depression by a million.

I had accidently let slip the night before that I was considering jumping the fence to my parents, they were not at all excited, in fact they started saying if i got caught i would get arrested and have a criminal record, jeopordising all future job opportunitys and i would end up a bum. However as 12 o'clock rolled around the idea of jumping became more and more appealing and i rang my friend Mr Will Flentri to see if he was still jumping. He said he was and that apparently it was really really easy to get in, that sealed it, i was going to jump.

I got off work at 1:30 instead of 2 and drove down to the showgrounds and parked nearby, will said to call him half an hour later so i started patrolling the outside looking for weak spots to jump. What confronted me was miles and miles of razor wire and security gaurds positioned every 50 meters along the fence, all with radios and some on towers. I was bummed yet again. i Ran into a friend from school who asked if i was jumoing, i said i dunno im scouting but it looks pretty hard, he said come with us we have cardboard to cover the razor wire. I said OK! so we looked around but couldnt find a spot. eventually two of the guys with us decided to jump over a razor wire free wall just near the second entrance. I thought this was a very un-feasible option as u did not know what was on the other side. however he texted us to say he got in pretty easy, although by this stage a huge maori security gaurd had come over and told us to get the fuck away from the wall...devo. i looked around a bit more with Mitch and found one other spot that could be fease but looked pretty hard.

I tried calling Will but my phone wasnt working but luckily i found him near that same wall this time without security. A large group of people around the area saw a truck trying to enter the gate and so it was decided we would rush in with the reuck whilst some tried to climb into the back of it to no avail. the gaurds at the gate werent stupid and didnt let the truck in until we all left. slowly a group started forming at the wall where the 2 guys got in before and without anywarning a huge mass of people started jumping over it as if they were escaping a terrorist attack, i saw will scrambling up the wall so naturally i followed after him, i was now on a very precarious and small tin roof with 20 other people. Worrying this would soon collapse i followed the rest of them and jumped off its 10 foot height to the ground below. with adrenalin pumping we sprinted 10 meters to a nearby temporary fence and scrambled over to see...

A CROWD!!! no security gaurds, no cops and no dog squads which i later realised were around. I was in and very very very very stoked. I found Will and celebrated with a number of Hi-5's. Another plus was that u only got wrist bands if u were over 18 so it was very easy to blend into the crowd. We split up to find friends and i eventually found My brothers friends and then my friends Courtney and Georgia at Passion Pit which was very sweaty but extremely sick. We then went to Dizzee Rascal who was extremely shit except for the last 3 songs (including "Holiday" and "Bonkers") which went off in the 20,000+ crowd!!!

after that we went to Calvin Harris at the Boiler Room, this also went off becuase he, unlike Dizzee, played a lot of good songs throughout his set and had a lot of energy. straight after Calvin Was Simian Mobile Disco who according to my brother were sick but we left after i found a ticket on the floor to see if i could get into the bar areas.

After making our way to the bar the gaurd told me to go to the main entrance to get a wristband but it was very unlikely. we trecked through the very thick crowd to get to the entrance on the other side of the grounds only to be told that it was too late to get a wrist band...bummer. Instead i bought an alcohol free Coca-Cola which boosted my sugar and stokage levels significantly. We then waited for about half an hour whilst Georgia was in the line for a toilet, this was good because it allowed me to watch some of Grinspoon's set, they were pretty good.

We then decided that ladyhawke was a good option as we had time to kill before Groove Armada, however she was like dizzee and decided to play her good songs at the end of her set which we could not hang around for so instead we got back to the boiler room early for Groove Armada. they came on and for an hour and a half played some pretty amazing music including "Superstylin" (which went off) to close their set.

By this stage (11 at night) my legs were almost completly dead from standing up since 10 o'clock that morning. We slowly made our way with the crowd back out and drove home. It was a pretty sick day even though i didnt have a drop of alcohol.

Here are some photographs to top off my huge essay...
Passion Pit
Dizzee Rascal showing under half the crowd.
That guy in yellow shirt on stage was the DJ for Dizzee, he was absolutly terrible, all he did was press play on the next song then pretend to scratch whilst dancing like a fool for the rest of the song, he did no mixing at all and u could see his hand about 10cm above the decks pretending to scratch, I wanted to shoot him.
I was bored of Dizzee Rascal when i saw this shirt.
The crowd at Calvin Harris
Mr Calvin Harris himself.
This was the last fence we had to jump to get in, it was pretty easy
Ladyhawk

Groove Armada

Superstylin!

This is Calvin Harris doing "The Girls" but it is only a short part of it and quite distorted.

This is a sick DJ called Sasha who had a ridiculously good lights and lazer show.

This is Groove Armada doing one of their more chilled out songs, he was really good at playing the trombone.

MUSIC:

due to Big Day Out the following music is now sick:

"Superstlyin" by Groove Armada: I have liked this song for a while, but now i am back into it again. It's pretty much the most famous song by Groove.

"Get Down" by Groove Armada: This is a newer song by Groove Armada which i have heard on Triple J before, they performed it really well live except it was the guy who does superstylin singing, he did it really well.

"Little Secrets" by Passion Pit: Again i had heard this song before on Triple J but didnt know who it was by, everyone was loving it live.

"Audacity of Huge" by Simian Mobile Disco: I have heard this song at clubs and parties before but never knew it was by these guys, it is ridiculously good and the first song they played in their set.

"Cruel Intentions" by Simian Mobile Disco: a bit of a different sound for them but still works just as well as their other songs, unfortunatly i missed this one.
